Highway Project in Middleborough
and Bridgewater will be one of first five “shovel-ready” projects under
construction
“I am pleased to see that the administration is moving forward as
quickly as possible to get stimulus funds out to communities,” Pacheco said.
“This project, which the governor announced would be advertised for bids just
a little over a month ago, will be underway in the next two weeks,” Pacheco
said. “That means stimulus money will start to flow into the region and
jobs will follow.”
The project involves the resurfacing of Route 18 and Route 28 from
Bridgewater Center to Middleborough Rotary.
The five initial projects have a total estimated value of $11.5 million.
