25th Heritage Day
of Portugal

Dr.
Jaime Gama, president of the Assembly of the Republic of Portugal,
joined Senator
Pacheco at the 25th Heritage Day of Portugal on June 2.
Students
from Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical school, the Diman
Regional Vocational Technical school, and the New Bedford Regional
Vocational school served traditional Portuguese fare.

Folclorico Madeirense S.S. Sacramento from New Bedford performed
Madeiran folklore dances.
The
Artesanato da Amism Associacao Municipos displayed embroidery,
beadwork and basketweaving from Lagoa and the other islands of the
Azores.
